Free e-learning course: Responsible digitization of wage payments

Digital wage payments are becoming standard practice worldwide, with enterprises moving from cash to bank transfers, payroll cards and mobile money. While this shift can improve transparency, efficiency and financial inclusion, digitization alone does not always ensure positive outcomes. A structured and well-planned approach is essential to ensure digital wage payments strengthen enterprise sustainability and support the well-being of women and men workers.
To support this transition, we have launched a new free, self-guided e-learning course: Responsible digitization of wage payments.
The programme is designed for enterprises at all stages of digitization — those still paying in cash, those transitioning to digital payments and those already paying wages digitally. It is also relevant for Employers’ and Business Membership Organizations (EBMO), workers and their representatives, government officials working on labour, wages, SME development or financial inclusion, financial service providers and development partners supporting decent work and inclusive finance.
Participants gain practical guidance on planning and implementing responsible digital wage systems, strengthening payroll processes and engaging effectively with financial service providers, while addressing context-specific challenges and supporting workers throughout the transition.
The course is available in English and can be completed at your own pace. A version tailored to the context of the Philippines is also available. French and Spanish versions are forthcoming.
Register today to start building the knowledge and tools needed for responsible digital wage payments.
