Bilateral and roundtable meetings held with social partners from the Philippines

The ILO’s Global Centre on Digital Wages discussed promoting digital payments in the Philippines. Meetings with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and the Department of Labour and Employment emphasized collaboration for responsible digital wage payments. The Department of Trade and Industry sought ILO input for MSME digitalization. Roundtable discussions and separate meetings with Fintech Alliance.PH and the Trade Union Congress focused on addressing challenges in adopting digital wage payments, including costs and digital literacy.
