Videos: responsible digital wage payments in the Cambodian garment sector

Many garment workers face challenges when they first get their wages through a bank account. There are challenges for employers too as they must ensure that the switch from cash to digital wage payments takes place, responsibly so that it benefits their enterprise and their women and men workers.

This first video shows that, once digital wages have been rolled out for some time, both workers and the employers fully realize what their benefits are. And some employers have already started recommending other enterprises to follow their path.

In this second video, representatives from the employers’ association, trade union, factories, government and the ILO shared their views on how the transition contributes to promote efficiency, time saving, well-being of workers and compliance in the global supply chain.
